Paralives Early Access Features: Day-One Systems and Planned Updates

If you want the shortest version, Paralives officially separates what is playable on day one of Early Access from what is planned to arrive later as free updates. That distinction matters because a planned feature is not the same thing as a launch feature.

This guide uses the official development page and FAQ only, so it stays close to the studio's own wording instead of mixing confirmed systems with wishlist assumptions.

Status: Official source guide based on the current Paralives development page and FAQ. Early Access begins on May 25, 2026.

Quick answer

On the official development page, Paralives uses two clear buckets: Features available on day one of Early Access and Planned to come out during Early Access. If you are checking whether a system is there at launch, that heading is the safest filter to use.

That means systems like personality traits, emotions, flexible walls, and multiple outfits are presented as day-one features, while seasons, pets, pools, town editing, and more advanced tools are listed for later during Early Access.

Useful cautionDo not treat planned features as already playable just because they are on the roadmap.

Live mode

The official live mode list is the longest one because it covers the everyday simulation layer: relationships, needs, careers, group actions, children, and the systems that make a household feel alive.

Build mode

The launch build already includes a substantial build-mode toolset, which lines up with the broad themes covered in the site's Building basics guide. The official distinction here is not whether build mode exists at launch, but which advanced tools are still planned for later.

  • Flexible wall placement tools, including curved walls and walls at any angle
  • Optional grid for wall placement

Paramaker

Paramaker is also in the day-one bucket, with core appearance and outfit tools available from the start. The later bucket covers pet creation, deeper genetics editing, and broader content expansion rather than the basic creator itself.

  • Color wheel for everything
  • Height slider
  • Body and face sliders
  • Tattoo placement tool
  • Layering and mixing of tops, such as an undershirt with a jacket
  • Asymmetry, including eye color, socks, and more
  • Genetics system

What not to assume yet

The safest reading is simple: if a feature appears under the official "planned during Early Access" heading, do not talk about it like it is already live on May 25, 2026. That applies to pets, seasons, family trees, cars and bikes, gardening and fishing, pools, basements, town editing, and the more advanced creation tools.

The FAQ also helps keep scope grounded. Paralives is listed as a single-player game that does not require an internet connection, there is no open beta planned, and the Early Access release is on Steam for PC and Mac. Those details are useful context, but they do not change the central rule: roadmap items are not the same as launch features.
